OUR COVID-19 UPDATE
As most are aware, Horry County has confirmed cases of COVID-19.
First and foremost, we ask that you continue to follow common sense infectious control. For example, please cover your cough, wash your hands thoroughly and often, and avoid touching your face. We also encourage all to review and follow the CDC’s social distancing recommendation. This includes avoiding non essential shopping and social gatherings.
To better serve the Grand Strand community and our patients, we will enact some temporary office policies. These are to aid us in providing both routine care as well as sick care for our patients and minimize the potential spread of disease. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
All routine visits will be clustered in the early morning to enable the healthy children to be out of the office before the sick patients arrive. You may also be asked to exit the offices in a different manner than you have previously. If you have a scheduled appointment please be patient as our staff methodically works on rescheduling.
We ask that all families limit the number of accompanying individuals who come to the office with their child to ONE. We ask if possibly that individual is between the ages of 18-60, but we understand that this may not be realistic for every family.
When you call for an appointment you may be asked more questions than you are accustomed and may be directed to a nurse for further triage. We may further ask that you wait in your vehicle after check in instead of in the waiting area.
At this time Grand Strand Pediatrics does not have testing capabilities for COVID-19.
If you or your child have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (Fever, Dry Cough) and/or have come in contact with an individual suspected to have COVID-19, we ask that you utilize the MUSC or McLeod Telehealth Hotline for screening. See the following Links.

We ask that you please be patient with our Staff. Our goal is to provide as much care to our patients as possible. You may experience longer than normal delays in prescription refill response as well as return time for phone messages as we experience high patient and call volumes.
