Welcome to Grand Strand Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

We are open in our Myrtle Beach, Surfside, Little River, and Carolina Forest locations. Surfside and Carolina Forest are now open weekends (8am-11:30am) by appointment only.

We practice a wide group of physicians with a similar philosophy of Pediatrics, taking turns on night & weekend calls and taking over for each other during times away from the office for vacations and continuing medical education. We strive to provide the best healthcare possible for your child(ren) for well care, acute and chronic illnesses. We are on the medical staff at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and reference the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC when necessitated.

Grand Strand Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine is proud to be recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient Centered Medical Home since 2016. The patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model is an approach to delivering high quality, cost-effective, team-based care across the health system.

We strive to provide evidence based care, based on the latest recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Hany Fam Retirement Announcement

Dear Patients and Families,

It has been my greatest pleasure and privilege to serve this wonderful community for more than 20 years. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me to care for your children. It has truly been an honor to be part of your families’ lives and to watch so many children grow, learn, and thrive over the years.

After much thought and reflection, I have made the decision to retire from the practice of pediatrics, effective April 30, 2027, to spend more time with my family and friends. While this chapter of my life is coming to a close, I do so with a heart full of gratitude and countless cherished memories.

Although saying goodbye is never easy, I am confident that you and your children will continue to receive the same compassionate, high-quality care from the exceptional team of pediatricians and healthcare professionals at Grand Strand Pediatrics. I know you will be in excellent hands.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and trust throughout the years. Caring for your children has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I will forever treasure the relationships and memories we have shared.

Dr. Frank N. Colvard

We are happy to share that Dr. Frank Colvard will be relocating from our Surfside office to our Carolina Forest office, effective October 5, 2026!

Dr. Colvard will continue caring for his patients at our Carolina Forest location, and his current patients are welcome to follow him to Carolina Forest as he makes this transition.

We’re excited about this next chapter for Dr. Colvard and our practice and look forward to continuing to serve our patients across the Grand Strand.
